Duties summary: Participate in various load-in and load-outs at box pusher, truck loader, brick loader, carpenter, and electrician. Build elevated staging and touring decks. Hang and strike soft goods. Hang lighting instruments. Complete power and data connections in electrics truss. Connect truss by either through-bolt or truss pin methods,. Hang truss on chain motors. With direction, run power and control cables from source positions to motors and fixtures. Lay, coil, and appropriately store a variety of power and control cabling. Pull, coil, and drop lighting circuits on and from an over-stage gridiron.

Duties summary: Prep the lighting package, both owned and rented equipment. Maintain the lighting package while on tour. Load and unload 26’ box truck and 12-passenger van. Set up and strike all lighting equipment. Operate and program ETC Element (2018) or Express 250 (2013, ‘14) lighting consoles. Supervise and instruct 2 actor/electricians and local crew electricians during load-in and strike. Operate lighting console and perform set and color changes during the show and intermission. Fully set up video projector. Focus all lighting instruments, including intermission refocus. Perform repairs on conventional lighting equipment and electrified props as needed. Drive 26’ box truck and 12-passenger van on interstate, federal, and state highways as well as in cities (truck driving includes, but is not limited to, Washington, DC, The Bronx, NY, Boston, MA, and New Orleans, LA surface streets). Maintain DOT and company driving logs. Created a new digital electrics show report form.

Duties summary: Maintain lighting inventory, including LED, conventional, and “intelligent” lighting fixtures, atmospheric effects equipment (foggers/hazers), and associated cabling (DMX, power, PowerCon). Assist in show presets, cleaning the theatre, and concession stand operations. Designed, built, and implemented an antenna for wireless microphone operation. Under supervision of licensed pyrotechnician, aid in setting up some pyrotechnics.

Duties summary: Provide technical and some lighting design for four separate shows: The Blackwoods Morning Show, The Smith Morning Variety Show, Magic Beyond Belief with Darren Romeo, and The Smoky Mountain Opry along with associated Christmas themed shows. Program and operate Martin M1 lighting console. Operate and program MADRIX lighting PC program. Operate and program Dataton Watchout5 for video playback. Maintain and calibrate rear and forward projectors. Maintain and repair atmospheric effect equipment and conventional, LED, and “intelligent” lighting fixtures. Establish, maintain, and follow pre-show, run, and post-show procedures for lighting. Assist with intermission and preshow presets, and post show resets.
