Русская Душа, Апрель 2003
"Русская Душа (Russian Soul)" April 2003. For Theatre 420/Russian 392 Russian Theatre culminating project in the Ula Love Doughty Carousel Theatre at the Clarence Brown Theatre, The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN. Tone: Multiple, Russian style. Space: Theatre-in-the-round used 1/2 round. Unusual color choices: No-color, saturates, and R366 Gaslight Green. I used a lot of PAR64s and one 5 or 10 degree Source 4 (I forget which), as well as a minizoom ellipsoidal of some kind.

These pictures are good but don't do justice to how much the lights helped make the play. I attended the performance and would have been totally lost in several parts had it not been for the lighting. Using the lights to make a "ghost" keep the speaker from looking like he was talking to himself. The trees behind the birds don't show up well in these pictures but were really neat in the play. Enjoyed these pictures.
